Then the glorious idea for Pokemon Crocheting Adventure was born. It came out of nowhere. Three out of four of my hobbies joined in artistic union. This I can describe briefly as a combination of Pokemon, crocheting, drawing, and writing. Yes, I will be providing free Pokemon crocheting patterns. Keep in mind I have never made my own pattern before, but this will be my motivation to and every single one I make will be free. For that reason I will not do commissions, but it will be possible to purchase a pre-made Pokemon. More often than not, I will post about pre-existing free patterns that I have used to make Pokemon and provide links to my readers. Additionally, I already have a list of patterns that I want to use and patterns I want to make. Granted, this could change, but I do not want multitudes of "Do this (insert Pokemon name)". I will have a page up of my planned Pokemon and you may comment on that only for requests
Now here's the catch, patterns will only be posted in accordance to the Adventure and in no planned order, so don't ask. With each post, we will be following the adventures of Jericho, our heroine struggling for survival in a new nitty gritty land of Pokemon. You heard right. I am writing a serial about Pokemon.
Now, to deal with some legal issues. I am sure there are an abundance of Pokemon fanfiction out there, but I have read none of it. This is all my original work. with the exception of the characters and idea of Pokemon, of course. Also, on that note, some of you may recognize the name Jericho. This, though, I have seen it plenty before, was actually a default name on a mod Pokemon game I have played. I am not quite sure which one, but I love the name. I do not intend in any way to infringe of the rights of whoever made the game. Any way this character and the game are similiar is due to coincidence only. The only purposeful similiarity is in the name. If it's a problem I will change it. Alrighty then!! Moving on...
The hardest thing about playing pokemon once you get past middle school is the absurdness of the concept. 10 year olds running around capturing wild creatures then using them to battle hundreds others. Does nobody have a job... or an education? So, I wanted to create my own realistic world of Pokemon. What will this world be like? You will have to find out alongside Jericho. Now, since I am a huge procrastinator my pages will not be planned out. This gives the reader an awesome opportunity to give input into what Jericho should do. It is like a Choose Your Own Adventure book or whatever they call it.
You might recall that I mentioned crocheting patterns. These will come in as Jericho encounters the Pokemon in the story. Of course, in the beginning, I will not be able to do every single pokemon mentioned in the chapter, but it will become easier as I go. See this as a pokedex. I will have a directory to accumulate them.
There is one last aspect of this crazy idea of mine and that is a drawing. This is simple. Visual representations of the story. I cannot guarantee color or even that it will be graphically done right away. I do not currently have a computer to do this on. Just a tablet and not a drawing tablet, but that will change in the next year.
Oh and excuse my terrible manners I never introduced myself. Call me Jena, gallopingthunder, wolfthatsings, or any other variation. GT and WTS will work just fine too.
Wish me luck!!
